Concussions are one of the most overlooked issue in youth sports.  If there is any suspicion of a concussion you should remove that player from activity or competition immediately.

Any player suspected of having suffered a concussion cannot return to play until assessed and cleared by an independent medical professional with experience in the evaluation and management of concussions.

Coaches, parents, and players play a role in managing the return to play process.  This is a 6 stage process with a minimum of 24 hours between each step.
