The Kamloops United FC BMO Select Program is the foundation of our player development pathway and serves as the primary preparation environment for players aspiring to progress into the BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL), BC Premier League, post-secondary soccer, and beyond.
As a Canada Soccer National Youth Club Licence holder and BC Soccer Premier League club, KUFC is committed to providing players with a structured, age-appropriate development pathway that supports long-term growth both on and off the field.
The BMO Select Program is designed for dedicated and aspiring players who are seeking an enhanced training and competition environment. Through increased training frequency, qualified coaching, and a player-centred curriculum, players are challenged to develop the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological attributes required for future success in the game.
The U11 to U13 years represent a critical stage in player development and are among the most important years in the developmental pathway.
During these formative years, players establish the technical foundation, decision-making abilities, game understanding, and training habits that support future progression into the BCSPL environment at U14 and beyond.
Our focus at these ages is not on short-term results, but on creating complete players who are prepared for the next stages of their development journey.
The 10-Month BMO Select Program operates from late August through early July and concludes following the BC Soccer Provincial Championships.
Outdoor training sessions are held at McArthur Island Park and Hillside Stadium, while winter programming takes place within KUFC's Indoor Training Centre. Participation in the KUFC Futsal Program is also incorporated to further enhance technical development, creativity, and decision making in game-realistic environments.
All programming is delivered and supported by KUFC's professional technical staff, including coaches holding UEFA A, UEFA B, Canada Soccer A, B and C Licenses, following a structured year-round curriculum aligned with the club's player development philosophy.
Following evaluations, players will be placed within appropriately tiered training and competition environments designed to support their individual development and maximize their opportunity for success.
Our objective is to provide every player with the appropriate level of challenge and support required to continue progressing within the game.
