The Highest Level of Youth Development in British Columbia

The BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL) represents the highest level of youth soccer development in British Columbia and serves as the pinnacle of the Kamloops United FC player pathway.

As a Canada Soccer National Youth Club Licence holder, KUFC is committed to providing dedicated and aspiring players with a complete development pathway—from grassroots soccer, through BMO Select and BCSPL, and onward to senior football, post-secondary opportunities, provincial and national programs, and beyond.

Beginning in Fall 2026, KUFC's U14 Boys and U14 Girls teams will compete within the BCSPL, providing players throughout Kamloops and the BC Interior access to the province's premier youth development environment closer to home than ever before.

The Next Stage of Development

The BCSPL is designed for players who demonstrate the commitment, ability, character, and ambition required to compete and develop within a high-performance environment.

Building upon the foundations established through the BMO Select Program, players entering the BCSPL continue their development through increased training standards, higher levels of competition, comprehensive player support, and an environment aligned with Canada Soccer's Long-Term Player Development principles.

Success within the BCSPL is measured not solely by results, but by the ongoing development of complete players who are prepared for the next stage of their football journey.

Development Philosophy

At KUFC, our focus remains on developing intelligent, adaptable, and resilient players capable of performing in modern football environments.

The BCSPL environment prioritizes:

  • Technical excellence under pressure
  • Advanced tactical understanding
  • Decision-making and game intelligence
  • Physical literacy and athletic development
  • Leadership and character development
  • Personal accountability and professionalism
  • Preparation for provincial, national, university, and senior pathways

Every training session, match, and player interaction is designed to support long-term development and maximize individual potential.
